US-16x08 tilbyder 16 mikrofon- og line-inputs til computeren med en klar lydkvalitet og avancerede egenskaber til håndtering af store sessioner. Otte Ultra-HDDA mikrofon-preamps giver en ren og stille drift, mens den leverer op til 56 dB gain. Otte ekstra balancerede line-inputs er til rådighed, to af dem omstillelige til instrument-niveau til direkte guitar eller basoptagelser. Otte balancerede line-outputs er også tilgængelige, to med niveau-kontrol på frontpanelet. US-16x08 har en indbygget DSP-mixer til low-latency digital-mixing. Hver kanal tilbyder en 4-bånds EQ og kompression. Udover interface-tilstanden kan US-16x08 også bruges som en mikrofon-preamp.
