The DAP Xi series offers passive installation speakers for a decent bass and a warm and clear Hi-Fi sound suitable for indoor locations. They'll be a perfect audio solution in places such as pubs, restaurants and shops. They can be closely mounted to a wall or ceiling due to multiple mounting options and recessed speaker connector. The design of Xi speakers are solid and practical. The high quality Celestion HF drivers meet the demands of today's audio enthusiasts.
Xi speakers can be mounted closely to a wall or ceiling with an optional U-shaped mounting bracket and compact speaker wall bracket. The speakers can be placed both horizontally and vertically as the horn of the Xi-8 and Xi-10 can be rotated to up to 90 degrees. For this you'll need to remove the grill. This can be done easily since it is magnet-mounted.
Our latest version is not only equipped with a speaker in- and output connector, but also with a green terminal connector. This is an easier and a more cost effective solution for setting up a fixed audio installation.
The Xi series consists of 5" to 10" full-range 2-way speakers. 12-inch and 2x 8-inch Xi subwoofers are also available for adding natural bass response under high pressure. The DAP Xi‑5C is a compact, high-quality multi-purpose speaker designed for clear, consistent coverage in retail, hospitality, theatres, auditoriums, stage infill, live sound, and corporate environments. It uses a premium 5” Celestion coaxial driver that delivers a coherent point source with excellent intelligibility and smooth off‑axis response. Despite its small footprint, the Xi‑5C reaches up to 117 dB at 1 m with a frequency response of 80-20,000 Hz and a wide 100° dispersion, ensuring even coverage across the listening area. The internal crossover can be switched from passive to bi‑amp mode for maximum system control. It handles up to 150 W RMS (300 W peak). With a nominal 16‑ohm impedance, multiple speakers can be paralleled on a single amplifier channel in distributed setups.
Installation is fast and reliable thanks to two linked 4-pole speaker connectors (supporting passive and bi-amp modes) for easy loop‑through and a 4‑pole terminal connector (passive mode only) with loop‑through for fixed wiring. A threaded M6 mounting point on top provides straightforward mounting options, the back features holes for the DAP Universal Speaker Bracket, and the sides have holes for the dedicated Hanging Bracket for Xi-5C. On the bottom side, an integrated 3/8” thread allows for mounting on a (microphone) stand. The robust black coating and steel screen grille ensure durability and a discreet look that blends into any interior.
